Beam solver tests
Both solvers are tested separately against textbook cases, then against equilibrium, superposition and each other. These tests run locally in your browser.

What a pass establishes
Textbook force results and deflections use a relative tolerance of 0.001%, with small absolute allowances for floating-point round-off.
The mixed-load comparison permits 0.01% disagreement. Both are much tighter than the duel’s 2% warning threshold. Values close to zero are compared using absolute tolerances.
The tests cover ideal, constant-stiffness, small-deflection beams with downward loads. They do not validate section data, a real structure, buckling, shear deformation, connection behaviour or a complete design-code check.
Agreement between two solvers is evidence to inspect, not engineering approval.
Theory: TU Delft: Euler–Bernoulli beams. Expected cases use equilibrium and integration of the moment–curvature equation, independently written in this test suite.
